Average Weather in Taichung Taiwan
In Taichung, the wet season is hot, oppressive, and mostly cloudy and the dry season is warm and mostly clear. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 54°F to 92°F and is rarely below 47°F or above 96°F.
Temperature
The hot season lasts for 4.0 months, from June 4 to October 5, with an average daily high temperature above 88°F. The hottest day of the year is July 19, with an average high of 92°F and low of 78°F.
The cool season lasts for 3.0 months, from December 12 to March 12, with an average daily high temperature below 76°F. The coldest day of the year is January 23, with an average low of 54°F and high of 72°F.
Housing
Providence University has two magnificent dormitories. St. Bosco Hall (Si Gao Xue Yuan) is Male Dormitory / Accommodation. Schultz Hall (Xi Jia Xue Yuan) is Female Dormitory / Accommodation. Students who do not apply for a dormitory room prior to arrival should contact a staff member on the 1st floor of the dormitory by the entrance. After completing an application and if there is a room available, students can move into the dorm room right away. Students may not leave the dormitory after 10:30 at night. Moving should be completed within one week.
A bed, closet, desk, and chair are provided in each dorm room. Students must purchase other necessary accessories on their own. (There is a small convenient store in Zhi Shan Hall.) Students who apply for an official leave or drop out of school can receive a refund. Others will not receive any refund. Students may not transfer their contract to others. Any Student who attempts to do so will be penalized according to school regulations.
